JETOUR ROCKS ABUJA! Luxury Cars, Culture, Glitz Take Centre Stage

MIRIAM LAWAL

For three days, Jetour turned Abuja into a spectacular playground of luxury, technology and entertainment, as cars, culture, music and art collided in an electrifying automotive experience.

The Jetour Experience Abuja 2026, held from September 22 to 24 at the Maha Event Centre, Garki, shattered the traditional car exhibition mould, delivering thrilling test drives, cutting-edge technology, Chinese cultural performances, live theatre and celebrity glamour.

It was an automotive spectacle where luxury met lifestyle, and the cars were only the beginning.

Nollywood star Uzor Arukwe, popularly known as Odogwu Panrara, added celebrity sparkle to the opening day with a surprise appearance that sent excitement soaring among guests.

But the real stars remained the vehicles.

Jetour rolled out an impressive fleet spanning petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The lineup featured the X50, X70 Plus, X70 PHEV, X90 Plus, T2, T2 PHEV, Dashing and G700, alongside the newly introduced T1 and F700.

The test-drive sessions were a major crowd-puller, allowing prospective buyers to experience the vehicles’ performance, comfort, technology and handling firsthand.

Speaking during a panel session, New Era AutoVehicle Services Managing Director, Kemi Koyejo, said Nigerian motorists were increasingly demanding vehicles tailored to their individual lifestyles.

Explaining Jetour’s Jet plus Tour concept and Drive Your Future philosophy, she stressed that there was no one-size-fits-all solution, with petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid options catering to diverse customer needs.

Meanwhile, Elizade Nigeria Limited Executive Director, Dr. Ademola Philip-Adewunmi, highlighted Jetour’s rapid expansion in Nigeria within just three years.

Addressing buyers’ concerns about after-sales support, he cited the brand’s five-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty, structured trade-in programmes and spare-parts availability as key pillars of customer confidence.

He noted that Nigerian buyers were becoming more discerning, looking beyond attractive designs to technology, connectivity, performance and long-term value.

Road safety and intelligent vehicle technology also took centre stage. Corps Commander Cherries Muta of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) praised the integration of driver-warning systems and proximity sensors into modern vehicles, describing such technologies as valuable tools for improving road safety and reducing crashes.

At the event’s grand finale, Jetour Senior Manager for Africa, Perry Huo, thanked Nigerian consumers and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Nigeria and across Africa.

By the time the curtains fell on September 24, Jetour had delivered a bold statement: the future of motoring is no longer just about getting from one destination to another. It is about luxury, technology, culture and an entirely new driving experience.

In Abuja, Jetour did not just showcase cars. It staged a lifestyle revolution on wheels.
