NAJA 2025: All Roads Lead to Lagos for Nigeria’s Biggest Auto Night

Nigeria’s motoring spotlight is set to shine brighter than ever as the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) revs up for the 2025 International Auto Awards, scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Dubbed Nigeria’s biggest night in motoring, the annual awards will gather the nation’s automotive elite—top government officials, industry captains, brand executives, and media professionals—to celebrate innovation, excellence, and leadership across the auto sector.

According to Frank Kintum, Chairman of the Planning Committee, preparations are in top gear to deliver an unforgettable edition.

“The NAJA Awards have become the gold standard for recognizing brands, organizations, and individuals driving Nigeria’s automotive progress,” Kintum said. “This year’s spotlight will be on local manufacturing, green mobility, and policy innovation.”

NAJA Chairman, Theodore Opara, emphasized the event’s strategic role in national development.

“As the industry evolves, NAJA remains committed to supporting the Federal Government’s vision for sustainable industrial growth,” Opara noted. “We’re thrilled to have the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) as a key partner this year.”

Among dignitaries expected are Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of State for Industry; Chief Joseph Osanipin, Director-General of NADDC; Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees on Industry; the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria; and the Director of the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM).

Through strong partnerships and consistent advocacy, NAJA continues to fuel excellence, integrity, and innovation in Nigeria’s ever-evolving automotive landscape.
