With six-year warranty, free servicing and 24-hour roadside rescue, Chery distributor raises the bar for vehicle ownership in Nigeria

Carloha, the authorised distributor of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, is taking customer service to a new level with initiatives designed to give motorists greater confidence, convenience and peace of mind long after driving out of the showroom.
As the world marks Customer Service Week under the theme “The Extra Mile,” the company is spotlighting two major initiatives, CarlohaCare 6-6-7 and CarlohaCare Rescue, as part of its drive to redefine vehicle ownership and after-sales support in Nigeria.
At the heart of the initiative is CarlohaCare 6-6-7, a programme offering eligible Chery SUV and sedan owners a six-year warranty on core components, including the engine and transmission, six years of free servicing covering applicable parts and labour, and a seven-day repair promise.
Where a qualifying repair cannot be completed within the stipulated period, a courtesy vehicle is provided where applicable, helping customers stay mobile while their vehicles are being fixed.
The programme is designed to eliminate some of the uncertainties associated with vehicle ownership, particularly the cost and inconvenience of maintenance and unexpected repairs.
According to Felix Mahan, General Manager, Marketing, Carloha, customer service must extend far beyond resolving complaints.
“Customer service should not begin when a customer has a problem. It should begin with the commitment we make to the customer from the moment they choose our brand. Going the extra mile means creating an ownership experience where customers know that there is a system behind them—not just a vehicle in their driveway,” he said.
But Carloha’s customer-care ambitions do not stop at its service centres.
Through CarlohaCare Rescue, the company offers 24-hour roadside assistance on highways and major roads, providing support to motorists facing breakdowns and other roadside emergencies.
Customers can access the service through its dedicated emergency line, 07000 667 667.
In a further demonstration of its commitment to broader motoring safety and customer service, Carloha has temporarily extended the rescue initiative to non-Chery vehicle owners.
The move comes at a time when Nigerian motorists increasingly consider after-sales support, maintenance costs and reliability alongside vehicle price and specifications when making purchasing decisions.
For Carloha, the strategy is clear: winning customers is only the beginning; keeping them confident and satisfied is the real challenge.
Mahan described the company’s commitment as a responsibility rather than a marketing slogan.
“The Extra Mile is not a campaign line for us. It is a responsibility. We want every Chery customer to feel that the value of choosing Chery continues long after the vehicle handover. Our goal is to make ownership more reassuring, more convenient and more customer-centred,” he added.
As Chery expands its footprint in Nigeria, Carloha is betting that dependable after-sales service, long-term warranty protection and emergency roadside support will give the brand a stronger competitive edge.
With CarlohaCare 6-6-7 and CarlohaCare Rescue, the company is sending a strong message to Nigerian motorists: the real journey of customer care begins after the sale.
