Self-parking systems, vehicle safety demonstrations and next-generation electric mobility headline Chery’s October 18–24 summit as Carloha explores innovations that could deliver greater value to Nigerian motorists.
Carloha Nigeria is set to join Chery’s global technology showcase in China, where intelligent self-parking, vehicle safety demonstrations and next-generation electric mobility will take centre stage at a summit highlighting the future of motoring.
The October 18–24, 2026, China International User Summit (CIUS), scheduled to hold at Chery’s headquarters in Wuhu, will bring together international media, vehicle owners and industry partners to experience the automaker’s latest innovations, with Carloha seeking to identify technologies and customer-focused initiatives that could deliver greater value to Nigerian motorists.
Organised around the theme “Together. For Family,” the summit will feature demonstrations of intelligent mobility systems, vehicle testing, electric vehicle showcases and sustainability programmes, reflecting Chery’s ambition to combine technological advancement with safer, smarter and more convenient mobility.
For Carloha Nigeria, Chery’s franchise dealer in the country, participation provides an opportunity to strengthen its engagement with the automaker’s global operations and explore how relevant developments can be adapted to the needs of the Nigerian market.
In a statement announcing the company’s participation, Carloha Nigeria’s Managing Director, Mr. Sola Adigun, said the initiative underscored its commitment to connecting Nigerian customers with Chery’s advances in automotive technology and customer-focused innovation.
“Carloha’s participation in the Chery International User Summit underscores our commitment to connecting Nigerian customers with Chery’s global advancements in automotive technology, intelligent mobility and customer-focused innovation,” Adigun said.
He added that Carloha would continue to explore ways of translating these developments into practical mobility solutions that address the evolving needs of Nigerian consumers.
Chery’s Intelligent Self-Parking Technology Takes Centre Stage
One of the summit’s major attractions will be Chery’s Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) technology, which uses intelligent parking and vehicle-summoning functions to simplify everyday driving.
The technology will feature at the SIVP Smart Parking Carnival on October 23, where simulated urban environments will recreate common motoring situations, including commuting, school pick-ups, shopping trips and parking in confined spaces.
The demonstrations are expected to highlight how intelligent parking systems could help motorists manage challenging parking situations, particularly in busy urban environments.
Chery will also organise multi-model test drives across different road conditions, allowing participants to experience the performance and driving characteristics of its vehicles.
Safety will receive equal attention through the CHERY Brand Safety Challenge, featuring a full-vehicle crash test intended to demonstrate vehicle structural integrity and occupant protection under specified test conditions.
The exercise will showcase Chery’s approach to vehicle safety engineering and provide participants with an opportunity to observe how structural design contributes to occupant protection during a collision.
Together, the demonstrations will highlight the automaker’s efforts to integrate intelligent technologies, engineering and safety considerations into its expanding vehicle portfolio.
Electric Mobility and Artificial Intelligence in Focus
The summit will also provide international exposure for CHERY Q, the automaker’s all-electric model, through a dedicated programme for global media representatives and vehicle users.
Its presentation forms part of Chery’s broader efforts to expand its electric vehicle portfolio and explore new possibilities at the intersection of electrification, intelligent mobility and connected technologies.
Beyond electric vehicles, the company plans to showcase developments in artificial intelligence, connected mobility and embodied robotics, including applications in manufacturing, commercial services and everyday life.
These initiatives reflect Chery’s ambition to expand beyond conventional vehicle manufacturing into a broader mobility and technology ecosystem.
For Nigeria, the potential relevance of these developments will depend on how effectively the technologies can address local market conditions, including vehicle affordability, operating costs, road conditions, infrastructure and access to after-sales support.
As Nigerian motorists increasingly weigh purchase prices against fuel or energy expenses, maintenance costs, reliability and safety, the value of emerging automotive technologies will ultimately depend on their practical benefits.
For Carloha, participation in the summit offers an opportunity to deepen its understanding of Chery’s technological direction and identify developments that could strengthen the brand’s appeal to Nigerian buyers.
What the Summit Means for Nigerian Motorists
Carloha Nigeria says its participation will reinforce its commitment to connecting the Nigerian market with Chery’s evolving product portfolio, technological developments and customer-focused philosophy.
The company continues to expand the brand’s presence through a range of premium sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), supported by an after-sales ecosystem designed to enhance the ownership experience.
Carloha’s General Manager, Marketing, Mr. Felix Mahan, said Chery’s family-centred philosophy reflected the importance of ensuring that automotive innovation delivers tangible benefits to customers.
“Chery’s ‘Together. For Family’ philosophy reflects our belief that automotive innovation must deliver tangible value to customers. From intelligent parking and enhanced safety features to electric mobility, Chery’s innovations demonstrate how technology can make every journey safer, smarter and more convenient,” Mahan said.
He added that Carloha would continue to strengthen the brand’s relevance in Nigeria by highlighting the practical benefits of its technologies and building lasting customer relationships through meaningful brand experiences.
A central component of this strategy is CarlohaCare 6-6-7, an ownership package designed to address some of the concerns associated with vehicle maintenance and long-term ownership.
The package comprises a six-year vehicle warranty, six years of complimentary scheduled servicing and a seven-day repair promise. The servicing benefit includes labour and genuine parts, while the repair promise provides a courtesy vehicle if repairs exceed seven days, subject to the programme’s applicable terms and conditions.
Carloha also offers CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue, a 24-hour emergency roadside assistance service available nationwide to Chery owners, with limited support extended to motorists using other vehicle brands.
The initiatives are intended to provide customers with additional support in managing scheduled maintenance, unexpected breakdowns and the inconvenience associated with extended repair periods.
In a market where the total cost of vehicle ownership can weigh heavily on purchasing decisions, warranty protection, servicing benefits and roadside assistance could prove important considerations for buyers.
The effectiveness of such programmes, however, will depend on consistent delivery, accessibility and the ability to provide the promised support when customers need it.
By maintaining engagement with Chery’s global operations, Carloha aims to strengthen its understanding of emerging automotive trends and apply relevant insights to its local market activities.
Sustainability and Customer Engagement
Beyond vehicle and technology demonstrations, the summit will feature global customer engagement programmes, family-focused storytelling and sustainability initiatives.
Through its Ride Green Life initiative, Chery plans to bring together vehicle users and ecosystem partners to promote low-carbon living and greater environmental awareness.
The automaker will also highlight its sustainability activities across environmental conservation, education and community welfare, including collaborations with international organisations such as the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
These initiatives reflect the growing importance of environmental responsibility and community engagement within the global automotive industry, as manufacturers respond to changing expectations around sustainability and social impact.
For Chery, the programmes provide an opportunity to demonstrate how technology, environmental responsibility and customer participation can contribute to the future of mobility.
For Carloha Nigeria, participation offers an avenue to strengthen its alignment with Chery’s global vision while identifying opportunities to improve the ownership experience in Nigeria.
Turning Global Innovation into Local Value
As the summit unfolds in Wuhu, the theme “Together. For Family” will underscore Chery’s emphasis on customer experience, safety, technological progress and sustainability.
For Carloha Nigeria, the priority will be to translate insights from the global gathering into products, services and ownership benefits that address the realities of the local market.
Although intelligent parking, electric mobility and artificial intelligence are increasingly shaping the global automotive industry, Nigerian motorists will continue to demand vehicles that deliver practical value, dependable performance, affordable maintenance and reliable after-sales support.
The ultimate test of Chery’s technology push in Nigeria will therefore be how effectively its innovations, expanding vehicle portfolio and customer-care programmes meet the everyday needs of Nigerian drivers and families.
