Nigerian Custom Service Intercepts 500 Smuggled Vehicles

The Nigerian Custom Service(NCS), Ogun State Area Command, seized not less than 500 used vehicles smuggled into Nigeria via the neighbouring Republic of Benin through Idiroko border and its axis.

The Controller of the Area Command, Sani Madugu, who made the disclosure while addressing journalists during a briefing held at Idiroko border at the weekend, said the total figure was achieved from January to November 2017.

“Within the last one week,” Madugu stated, “ the command seized four smuggled vehicles, 12 motorcycles and other products with duty payable value of N39.3m.”
