Why has My Jeep Cherokee’s Air-Conditioner Stopped Working?

Question

[dropcap]D[/dropcap]ear Editor,

I own a Jeep Cherokee, which was sent to me from US three years ago, 2013. Apart from minor tidying up, when it arrived, everything has been going fine until about five months ago, when the air-conditioner was switched on normally, but started blowing normal temperature.

I was told the gas needed refilling, which was done. But less than six months after, the problem returned. What could have gone wrong, please educate me, thanks.

Answer

Dear Mrs Fabian,

hqdefaultMost likely problem remains lack of refrigerant or gas in your air-conditioner system. And from your explanation, it appears you are experiencing a leakage somewhere. I, therefore, advise that you get the leakage traced and fixed before refilling the refrigerant again. Otherwise, you will keep wasting money on refrigerant refill.

Dear motorists, have you been experiencing any intractable motoring problem(s) with your vehicle? Please mail them to us, explaining as detailed as you can, indicating your vehicles’ brand, model and year of manufacture.

Also, have you ever experienced a difficult motoring problem, which you eventually got resolved? How did you solve the problem? Please share it with other motoring public.

Send your mails to:

[email protected] or [email protected]

Until next week, when I shall bring you another simple answer to a seemingly serious problem, please be careful out there.
