Nigerians have been urged to prioritize life saving over video recording of accident victims.
The National Head, Celebrity Special Marshals (CSM) Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Julie Chi-Nwaoha made the appeal during her recent visit to the Ogun State branch of the CSM FRSC.
According to her, concentrating on making video of accident victims instead of saving their lives could worsen the conditions of road crash victims, whose lives could have been resuscitated.
To this end, Chi-Nwaoha advised road users to learn Life-Saving First Responders Skills, which she said would complement the efforts of the FRSC across the country.
She also voiced the need for the celebrity Special Marshals to use their social influences to change the attitude of Nigerians, who focus on filming accident scenes without doing anything to save lives of accident victims.
The National Head who took advantage of the occasion of attending the book launch of the Ogun state Coordinator of the Special Marshals, Hon Kehinde Soaga also paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun State, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fashakin in his Ibara Sector
