OMODA & JAECOO have demonstrated technology that allows motorists to summon their vehicles to designated pickup points, offering a glimpse of how intelligent systems could transform everyday driving.
The Super Intelligent Valet Parking system was among the major attractions at the 2026 OMODA & JAECOO International User Summit, held in October in Wuhu, China.
Demonstrated at the summit’s Super Intelligent Experience Lab, the system enables vehicles to respond to pickup requests, navigate designated routes, identify parking spaces and manoeuvre through challenging parking environments.
The demonstration highlighted the prospect of motorists calling their vehicles to collect them instead of searching crowded car parks.
Held under the theme “DRIVE TO THE NEXT VIBE”, the summit brought together vehicle owners, international media and business partners to explore developments in intelligent driving, electrification, autonomous transport and robotics.
Another attraction was the Super Intelligent AI Space, a cabin system designed to make interaction with vehicles more natural through voice commands.
During demonstrations, participants activated multiple vehicle functions with a single spoken instruction. The system also recommended music based on a user’s expressed mood and generated personalised cabin wallpapers from keywords.
The company said the innovations were intended to improve convenience and deliver a more personalised driving experience.
Hybrid technology underwent an endurance challenge through the Super Hybrid Marathon, which took participating vehicles across urban roads, highways and mountain routes.
The exercise assessed fuel consumption, power delivery, cabin insulation and comfort, with air conditioning and infotainment systems operating throughout.
According to the manufacturer’s published results, the OMODA 5 NEXT SHS-H recorded fuel consumption of 4.5 litres per 100 kilometres and a maximum range of 1,015 kilometres under the event’s test conditions.
The summit also hosted the global debut of OMODA X, a futuristic cross-off-road vehicle designed to combine urban practicality with an adventurous character.
Beyond conventional vehicles, OMODA & JAECOO presented its Level 4 Robotaxi programme, outlining plans to collaborate with UAE-based K2 on autonomous mobility services.
The proposed system links app-based booking with vehicle dispatch, cabin preparation and driverless journeys within supported operating environments.
Ecosystem partner AiMOGA introduced Mobo, a home companion robot designed to recognise family members, remember preferences and support everyday interactions. Robots intended for reception, healthcare guidance and other service applications were also displayed.
The technology showcase came amid substantial international expansion. OMODA & JAECOO reported cumulative global sales exceeding 1.4 million vehicles within three and a half years, with operations spanning 79 markets.
The company also disclosed that research and development expenditure at parent company Chery reached RMB 6.672 billion in the first half of 2026, representing a 28.3 per cent increase year-on-year.
The technologies presented form part of the brands’ strategy to combine electrification, artificial intelligence and intelligent driving systems in their next phase of global expansion.
