2020 Unconventional Cult Car Show Postponed

Hagerty has postponed the 2020 Festival of the Unexceptional until 2021. In light of British government guidance surrounding Covid-19, the team behind the delightfully unconventional cult car show, due to be staged on 25th July, took the decision to guarantee the safety of hundreds of participants, thousands more visitors, valued partners and the team at Hagerty. New dates will be announced later this year.

Since its inception, in 2014, the Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional has grown bigger and better, with ever-increasing support from the classic car community.

Marcus Atkinson, Managing Director of Hagerty UK, said “It was an agonising decision to cancel this much-loved event, but it is the right thing to do in light of the situation we all find ourselves in. We can assure fans of the event that it will return in 2021 bigger and better than ever. Until then, Hagerty extends best wishes to all clients, partners and car enthusiasts and urges everyone to do all they can to follow government advice and stay home, protect the NHS and save lives”.

Owners of unexceptional vehicles are encouraged to continue with the submission of entries here: https://carfestivalbooking.com/events/festival-of-the-unexceptional-2020-concours-registration

Hagerty remains committed to publishing the very best classic car content through its digital, social and print platforms during the isolation period, offering a range of features, films, interactive social media activities and weekly emails.

Hagerty Insurance remains open for business, with the entire UK team working remotely to help existing and new clients with a classic car they want to protect.

Further decisions about Hagerty UK’s participation in classic car events will be taken on a case-by-case basis, according to safety guidelines provided by the government.
