VUHL OFF TO A FLYER IN 2017

[dropcap]V[/dropcap]UHL started the year in style after completing successful international dynamic appearance at the Race Of Champions in Miami.

The event, which saw an amazing two days of racing at Marlins Park, kick-off what is sure to be a promising year for the rapidly expanding supercar maker.

VUHL’s lightweight and dynamic 05 ROC Edition was perfectly suited to the tight and twisty circuit, allowing drivers to accelerate quickly and navigate the difficult course with relative ease.

16 of the world’s best motorsport icons drove the VUHL 05 ROC Edition to the limit in head-to-head races with all of the champion drivers getting behind the wheel of the 420bhp/tonne 05 on the technical circuit. Every one of the racers fed back that the cars intense grip and superb brakes increased driver confidence time-after-time in the heat of the competition.

Top names such as Travis Pastrana, F1 champion Sebastian Vettel and Champion of Champions Juan Pablo Montoya all excelled in the 05 ROC Edition. Whilst the spectacular flame-spitting and noise from the exhaust kept the viewing public thoroughly entertained throughout.

On Sunday, Juan Pablo Montoya, Tom Kristensen and Petter Solberg lead the parade before the first race in the orange and white VUHLs.

The event in Miami coincided with the launch of a dedicated website in America – VUHL05.US – where prospective customers can spec up their own VUHL 05 cars, access news and information on VUHL cars, in addition to sales help and advice. A customer service number – +1 (855) 955 VUHL – is now also live.

VUHL 05 in the paddock

Looking ahead, the on-going evolution of the 05 model will continue as expansion into the American and European markets reflect demand for the bespoke, lightweight supercar. VUHL commissioned three special edition cars – 05 ROC Edition – for the event, all of which have now been sold to customers. High demand for the Limited Edition car has prompted an increase of production for the model during the first quarter of 2017.

Earlier this year, VUHL agreed a five-year partnership to provide cars to the popular Race Of Champions event.

VUHL co-founder Guillermo Echeverria said: “This is an exciting period for VUHL, we are tremendously proud to have completed another amazing milestone at the Race Of Champions. The response to the car, from the world’s best drivers and the public has been so positive that we have had to increase production in the model seen at Marlins Park. This is another amazing milestone for VUHL and we can’t wait to excite fans in the stadium and around the world.”

VŪHL (the name is pronounced ‘vool’ and stands for Vehicles of Ultra High-performance and Lightweight) is the brainchild of brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria, whose Mexican/American design company penned the breath-taking 05 and the 05RR trackday supercars. Their profound passion for all things automotive comes from a hands-on role in the GT and formula racing cars successfully built and campaigned over a 30-year period by their father, Guillermo Echeverria senior.

The 05’s handling has been fine-tuned in the UK, while further testing and development took place with assistance from Michelin, both in the U.S. and Europe. Production started mid 2014, with first deliveries done in 2015. 40% of the 05 sourced from UK, carbon bodies and chassis production done in-house and final assembly conducted by the advanced manufacturing concern, Adman Leku in Mexico City.
