OMAA Global, a gas-powered commercial vehicles assembler and software solution Provider Company is on the verge of reaching another milestone with the launch of gas-powered light trucks and larger capacity commercial buses later in the year.

The Chief Executive Officer of OMAA, Chinedu Oguegbu disclosed this recently during an exclusive interview with Motoring World in his office.

He said, ‘’the company is poised to breaking new ground in the automotive industry. Having been able to meet our first priority which was to assemble gas-powered commercial vehicles, you are going to see OMAA launch new products later this year. We are going to launch a gas-powered, light truck before the end of the year.  We are also venturing into light trucks and larger capacity buses.’’

‘’Aside from the vehicles, we also offer software solutions both for local operators, even government and mass transit schemes. Since we are producing the hardware, there is a whole total package that we are able to offer so that people, companies and institutions can run efficiently. There is a whole mobility solution that we have.’’

“We see gas as a transition fuel,” stressed, “The world is moving toward EVs. There is a lot of stuff going on now with the industrial revolution. It is very important for us as a company to stay abreast of all these.

“If you are able to latch on this new technology, you might be able to compete both locally and globally. So, down the line, expect some Electric Vehicles from us too. If not for COVID, we would have made some progress with our Electric Vehicles.

“We want to have our vehicles on the road. Importantly, we think that this gas is going to be transformative for the country. When you think about Africa Free Trade Agreement which already comes in force, you will realize that we can use our domestic market as our springboard to take this technology to other countries.’’
