NADDC, Osun Reiterate Mechatronics Training Partnership

The Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin has reiterated the Council’s commitment for more productive collaboration with Osun State Government.

Osanipin made the remark on Thursday during a courtesy visit by a special delegation from Osun State

The DG explained that the Council has the mandate to regulate the automotive sector in Nigeria, and in doing that, the Council would continue to partner with relevant stakeholders in order to apply robust strategies to develop the sector.

Osanipin noted that the NADDC Automotive Industrial Park situated at Oshogbo is naturally strategic and beneficial to the Osun State community given the proximity of the hub to major auto assembly plants, source of power, railway and the proposed airport.

“For you to develop the whole, you need to grow the components, which informed the idea of the establishment of the three auto industrial parks in the country “.

The team leader and the Special Adviser to the Governor of Osun State on Protocol, Olaniyi Akin had earlier in his speech congratulated the Director General for a well deserved appointment , and also conveyed the gratitude of the State Government on the ongoing collaboration with the Council.

Olaniyi added that the visit was basically to solicit for the continuation of the partnership between NADDC and Osun State Government in the areas of Mechatronics Training, Auto industrial park and possible synergy on EV Charging station and Auto gas conversion Centre.

The collaboration is mutually beneficial to both parties and would ultimately create employment and skill development for the youths as well as attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDIs) into the State.
