The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) Joseph Osanipin has called on investors to key into investment opportunities available in the nation’s automotive sector.
He made the call at the lunching of Nigerian-Balkan hub and African Automotive Conference, held at the Eko Hotel and suites Victoria Island, Lagos state recently.
In his presentation at the event, Osanipin, who outlined various investment opportunities in the nation’s automobile sector, also discussed the ecstatic idea of NADDC to set up industrial parks for automotive parts manufacturers in Anambra and Ogun state respectively in order to foster investment and production of more automotive parts.
Osanipi, therefore, stressed the need to join hands to invest in what he described as a vibrant and sustainable automotive industry in Nigeria, a move he assured would transform the country to automotive manufacturing hub to the benefit of Africa.
Also speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Ambassadore Nura Rimi, represented by Mrs Orji Jethro, stressed the critical role play by automotive sectors in Economic development, job creation and Technological innovation.
Hosted by the Lagos chamber industry of commerce (LCCI) in collaboration with ministry of industry, trade and investment (FMITI) with a theme: “Connecting Nations, empowering visions: invest in Nigeria-Balkan businesses,” the event was aimed at encouraging countries and states investors to opportunities in Nigeria for international Trade and to foster economic growth.
