Mikano Motors hosted an unforgettable evening of automotive excellence and elegance as it unveiled the all- new luxurious CS95 and the sleek, versatile X7 Plus at the Changan Festive Night ‘24.
Held on Thursday at the stunning Mikano Motors- Changan showroom, Victoria Island, the event marked the grand launch of the two premium vehicles with X7 Plus as the first revelation of the night, followed by the grand entrance of the flagship, the all- new CS95, both of which were launched into the Nigerian market.
Following guests entertainment with live piano music, creating a sophisticated ambiance befitting the special occasion, the celebration moved to the avant- garde Royal Box event center, where guests were welcomed with a captivating live saxophone performance and a dazzling laser light show.
There was also a display of mesmerizing choreography from amazing performers who added vibrancy and energy to the spectacular event.
Delivering the opening speech at the event, the Executive Director, Mikano International, Omar Karameh declared: “we have come together not only to celebrate the success of Mikano Motors but also the power of collaboration, vision and determination.
According to him, following its appointment as the exclusive dealer of Changer late 2023, Mikano Motors developed a bold vision to redefine the automotive experience and set a new standard of excellence in Nigeria.
He explained: “Changan, a globally renowned brand with over six decades of engineering expertise, brought to the table vehicles that perfectly balance innovation, style, reliability, and affordability. We knew we had the right partner, and we knew we had the right mission.

Also speaking, Changan’s Sales Director, African Region, Stephanie Wang described Changan, which in Chinese means the lasting safety, as the bearers of over century -and a-half-long tradition of manufacturing excellence, with a strong backbone in research and development.
According to her, crafting vehicles that ignite the imagination was the driving force of the people behind Changan.
“That is why,” he stated, “we dedicate 5% of our annual revenue to R&D. Supported by 14 manufacturing bases and 34 auto and engine plants around the world, Changan Auto now has 18,000 engineers from 31 countries and regions.”
Wang expressed Changan pleasure to introduce the Changan new line up for the Nigerian market and highlighted the innovative features of the vehicles, their parts distribution plans for shorter lead times, guaranteeing parts availability, and the successful partnership with Mikano Motors.
A family SUV with an impressive and stunning appearance on the road, the impressively roomy Changan CS95 does not only accommodate up to seven people, it comes with luxurious interiors and high-tech amenities. Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated onto 8 speed automatic transmission, the car also boasts of sophisticated and attractive exterior, ample safety and driving aid equipment.
Changan CS 95, a four-wheel drive for effortless family mountain excursions, is fuel-efficient.
On the other hand, X7, also a seven seater premium SUV, comes with a load of safety features, including driver and passenger airbags, Anti-lock braking system, 360 degree camera, Autonomous emergency front braking and Tire pressure sensors.
Driver and passengers of the X7 are also spoilt with comfortable eco-leather seats, 12.3 inch touchscreen, Remote engine start, smart cruise control system, among others.
According to the company’s National Operations Manager, Syam Abdulkadir, the two vehicles, which he described as more of family SUVs, are going to be assembled at the company’s lines, which is around 7,500 square ft. state- of -the- art assembly plant at Karameh city, Lagos, Nigeria.
“All our models are not only highly fuel efficient,” he said, “We have also adapted the Federal Government policy to ensure all our vehicles are CNG compatible. In essence, our customers now have the option for CNG.
‘’As SKD assemblers, when we bring the vehicles in, we also bring the parts. So, we have the stock of all the models. Our authorized dealers are required to have the parts also in their stock so that whichever state you are in Nigeria, if you cannot go to Mikano workshop, you go to our authorized dealers to get your service done.’’
The event which had many dignitaries, celebrities and brand influencers in attendance also recognized the contributions of esteemed brand influencers, including Don Jazzy, Jemima Osunde, Daniel Etim- Effiong, Sydney Talker, and Akah Nnani, who were honoured for their supports of the Mikano Motors brand.
