[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t is no more news that popular music singer; Tiwa Savage has parted ways with her husband of three years, TeeBillz ,who, we all know, was once her manager.
On a recent video, which went viral, where Tiwa Savage talked about her husband’s escapades with women amongst which Edible Catering was mentioned, and living a high class life that he couldn’t maintain, we pin-pointed a lot of factors that could have lead to their marriage dispute.

Among them is the fact that the accused (TeeBillz) was said to have bought a Mercedes-Benz worth millions of Naira, which he couldn’t pay for in full. Tiwa Savage, during the interview, didn’t disclose what model of Mercedes-Benz it was. Neither did she disclose the amount staked on the machine.
But a source close to Tiwa Savage informed Motoring World the car was a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-class Convertible costing about NGN17,000,000.

But another source, who claimed to actually spotted the car, told us it was rather a 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA, which costs a bit less, NGN14,900,000.
According to Tiwa, TeeBillz saved up and paid good part of the money. But the person he bought the car from allegedly kept calling Tiwa and at the end, she said she was forced to make a balace payment of about N3.5 Million. Well, let’s put it this way. The smallest car in the Mercedes lineup, the CLA is priced, styled, and engineered to grab eyeballs and younger buyers. That explains why TeeBillz could have been attracted to it.
A scaled-down version of CLS and indeed, the prettiest Mercedes design on sale today, the CLA comes with a sporty cockpit, which lifts its inspiration from the SLK and the mix-and-match aesthetic works extremely well.
The car is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged fours, with 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque mated onto seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
Its standard safety features includes a Collision Prevention Assist function; using radar, the CLA can alert the driver of upcoming obstacles when it’s traveling at more than 7km/h, and can calculate the amount of brake force needed to avoid an impact. Also standard are Attention Assist and its coffee-cup reminder to pull over and avoid drowsy driving and a driver knee airbag.
The car is as well equipped with Bluetooth, cruise control, a power driver seat, and MB-Tex (vinyl) upholstery. Smartphone connectivity comes via Mercedes-Benz’s mbrace2 and a 5.8-inch screen, while three navigation options will be offered–the most expensive with voice commands, the rearview camera, and real-time traffic.
A panoramic sunroof is a stand-alone option on any CLA, as are leather seats, parking assist, blind-spot monitors, and heated front seats. There is Multimedia Package too. They include the seven-inch display; Keyless entry is now part of the Premium Package and ambient lighting within.
Like we said at the beginning of this post, we are not really sure of the model of Benz he (TeeBillz) was accused of buying by his wife (Tiwa Savage); The closest we got to in our search were two different versions from two different sources. The latter claimed to have spotted a CLA Coupe, which could be said to be expensive and trending in Nigeria.
