COVID-19: Stallion Launches Message of Solidarity and Hope, Encourages Nigerians to Save Lives

By: MATILDA FRANCES

Stallion Group Nigeria has launched an online message of hope and solidarity aimed at galvanizing Nigerians and the entire human race to play their parts towards combating  the spread of Corona Virus pandemic.

The campaign was launched last week with a 10 seconds video clip, featuring a horse exhibiting strength and victory after completing a lone but rigorous race.

With the video demonstration and message, the company encouraged Nigerians and rest of the world to maintain physical and social distancing as well as follow all directives meted out by health experts, aimed at stopping the spread of the Corona Virus worldwide, with an assurance that humanity would get through the pandemic stronger.

The message on the video reads:

“KEEP YOUR DISTANCE

HELP SAVE LIVES

WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER, STRONGER”

“From Stallion,” explained the Group’s CEO, Anant Badjatya, “this is a messages of hope, solidarity and optimism to the people staying at home and to those working on the frontlines as well as everyone doing their part to combat the spread of the virus.”

This special solidarity message was a continuation of the company’s multi-million naira worth of vehicle, health equipment and food palliative support to Nigerian health system towards combating the pandemic.

Following the outbreak in Nigeria, Stallion Empowerment Initiative (SEI) initiated a support to 774 local governments of Nigeria by supplying locally produced rice and fish to all the government run hospitals dedicated to Covid-19 for 3 months.

The group’s CEO also announced a further commitment of one staff bus each for the five Government-run COVID-19 hospitals in Lagos State of Nigeria.

“The Group,” he added, “will also provide drivers and fuel for these buses. This arrangement will help ensure safer and comfortable transportation of our health care workers who are in the frontline in this fight against the virus.

At the wake of COVID-19 outbreak in China late 2019 (months before Nigeria recorded its first case), Stallion Group made proactive support to the Nigerian health system.

The Group, in collaborated with Hyundai Motors, donated HYUNDAI – H1 ambulances to a hospital in the Aladja region in Warri, Delta State.

Moreover, Stallion did not only support a clinic and a 50-bed hospital with special wards for female and paediatric health care, it also equipped the hospital with X ray machines, OT table, Diathermy machine, Automatic Haematology Analyser and Sonic Aids.

“The community around the hospital is largely rural and socio economically backward, on an average it serves 50 out patients per day,” said the Group’s CEO, Anant Badjatya.

The Premium Hospital was established to bring health care delivery closer and accessible to the residents of the Steel Township and reduce child and maternal mortality rate in the immediate community.

“Our goal,” Badjatya added, “is to make it an accessible hospital for patients in Aladja. We believe there is potential to improve the healthcare system and equipment by providing the right treatment and outreach to patients.”
