[dropcap]I[/dropcap]ndications are that automotive local content will soon receive a boost, as a growing indigenous Auto maintenance company, Automatic Fit and Energy Limited, reveals future plan to commence auto parts manufacturing in Nigeria. The company’s Managing Director, Prince Olusegun Aderemi, dropped the hint recently at his Lagos VGC office, during an exclusive interview with Motoring World Editorial team.
According to Prince Aderemi, one of the future plans of Automatic Fit and Energy Limited is to contribute to the development of the nation’s automobile industry in the area of local content manufacturing.
’’We are diversifying into vehicle parts manufacturing”, he hinted. “And already, we are discussing with a French company regarding this”.
He said for an auto industry to grow and operate effectively, local content manufacturing is not only a prerequisite.
“Such a venture”, he explained, “would also checkmate importation and sales of substandard
Automatic Fits and Energy Limited handles automobile quick repair and servicing with digital and modern equipments. The company also does effective and accurate wheel balancing and alignment at its centres located at Total Filling Stations all over Nigeria.
