JAC IEV6S, The Prince Charming of Electric Cars

Mid May, JAC unveiled to the media IEV6S Chinese first pure-electric SUV, IEV6S. From the reactions of over 200 customers and journalists, who interacted with the charming-looking vehicle, the electric SUV could be first car ever to be named Prince Charming, writes FRANCES MATILDA

Described by a customer as the most beautiful pure-electric vehicle ever made,  IEV6S SUV benefited from its designers white colour with blue stripe decoration, giving the car an aura of dynamism.

Picture3Instead of traditional air-inlet grille, its front end comes with divergent mesh design. While inside the car, double colour schemes, three type of the steering wheel with black &white colour matches to show its sporty style are adopted.

Officially launched into the market at this year’s Beijing Auto Show, JAC IEV6S has a beautiful sculpture as well as high intelligence.
JAC new energy vehicle designer gave the car  ‘the highest configuration’: 8 inch capacitive touch screen, which can achieve dozens of intelligent voice human-computer interaction functions such as GPS, Bluetooth telephone, visual imaging, maintenance, time and charging.

From 2011 till date, JAC pure-electric family has owned six generation vehicles. This time, IEV6S SUV comes with the Samsung ternary lithium battery, so it can travel as far as 300 kilometres at 60km/h steady-state driving.

Picture4For this car, JAC has not compromised interior safety. For example, in order to test the performance of battery under the condition of low temperature, JAC chose the wee hours of winter to test the vehicle.

In order to make the whole battery system safer, JAC adopts ‘small module’ style. Informally, those small battery modules work independently. If one of them turns up any problems, it will not affect others.

Power

As a pure-electric vehicle, IEV6S has no engine like the traditional vehicle. Its ‘heart’ is an electricity-driven system. And this key part is from industry champion – JUYI Automation.

Picture5Picture1In 2012, JAC pure-electric family vehicles made an inroad into the markets around China. In the first quarter of 2016, sales volume of JAC pure-electric vehicle has reached 4410 units, up by 7763.7% year on year.

JAC Motors expressed that technology innovation makes JAC pure-electric vehicle won a place in fierce market competition.

Future Projection

The leading Chinese indigenous auto maker’s projection is that by the year 2025, total sales of its new energy vehicle will cover 30% among the whole sales of JAC vehicles. According to the company’s development plan, JAC will launch IEV8 in 2025 with lithium-air battery and 500 kilometres range; in 2030, JAC will launch IEV9 with 1000 kilometres range. So there is no need to worry about power problem anymore!
