LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) today announces the appointment of its latest Scandinavian dealer partner, Nybergs Bil in Sweden, for the company’s industry-leading electric TX Taxi and VN5 Van.
Bringing the total number of partners in the country to three, Nybergs Bil operates from the thriving metropolitan city of Jönköping, approximately 150km east of Gothenburg. Having already secured the first sales of the TX Shuttle, Nybergs Bil will provide customers of the Jönköping and Nässjö areas with complete sales and aftersales support for electric TX and VN5 vehicles.
The appointment is the latest forward step in LEVC’s continual growth strategy, with vehicles now being sold in 21 markets around the world. The company’s latest ventures in Sweden builds upon LEVC’s European footprint of over 30 appointed dealers.
Whether customers in Sweden select the TX or VN5, they will pay no more than SEK 360 (approximately £30) in road tax annually. LEVC models are also fully eligible for the Swedish government’s ‘green car bonus’ of up to 30,000 SEK (approximately £2,400) per vehicle.
Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, said: “Sweden leads the way in advancing and promoting the adoption of sustainable transport, meaning the technologies of LEVC’s TX and VN5 are ideally positioned to meet the growing demand for sustainable transport in the region. The appointment of Nybergs Bil is a key next step in forwarding our highly ambitious growth strategy that will continue to transform LEVC.”
LEVC’s electric TX taxis and VN5 vans are able to eliminate range anxiety, minimize CO2 emissions and optimize profitability and accessibility thanks to their unique eCity technology. The TX Taxi offers a pure electric, zero-emission range of 64 miles (103km) and is capable of a total range of up to 318 miles (512km) thanks to its innovative range-extending technology. Enabling up to six passengers to enjoy generous flexibility and space, a comfortable, relaxing ride and wheelchair access, for a complete duty cycle, without the need to stop and recharge the battery, thanks to the on-board range extender.
The VN5 Van, which delivers a gross payload of 830kg and shares the same lightweight aluminium construction and advanced eCity technology as the TX Taxi, offers drivers a pure EV range of over 63 miles (102km), boosted by the range-extender to more than 318 miles (513km).
Using a rapid 50kW DC charging, both the LEVC TX Taxi and VN5 Van batteries can be recharged to 80% capacity in around 30 minutes.
Robert Bloom, CEO of Nybergs Bil, said: “We are very happy and proud to be one of the first dealers of LEVC in Sweden and begin 2022 with a new brand. Through this investment and cooperation, we strengthen our range to provide green mobility solutions that are completely in line with our sustainability goals. LEVC is a very exciting brand with unique design and innovation and incredible lineage. We see a great potential to offer sustainable transport solutions with the electric TX taxi and VN5 van.”
Every LEVC model provides customers with complete peace of mind, thanks to a three-year 120,000-mile vehicle warranty and a five-year unlimited mileage battery warranty. Each model is built in the UK at LEVC’s purpose-built manufacturing facility at Ansty, Coventry. The state-of-the-art site is also home to a research and development centre, in addition to advanced quality and testing facilities.
