Lagos Government Strengthens Road Safety with Vehicle Gift to FRSC

In a move that signals Lagos State’s renewed commitment to road safety, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has handed over a fully operational vehicle to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command.

The Wingle 7 vehicle, manufactured by Great Wall Motor Company (GWM), was formally presented by LSSTF Director Mr. Lewis Adegbola on behalf of Executive Secretary Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan to Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat.

The donation forms part of the state government’s strategy to boost the operational capacity of security and emergency response agencies across Lagos. Speaking during the handover, Commander Hamzat thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and LSSTF, assuring that the vehicle would be strategically deployed for patrol, enforcement, rescue operations, and overall road safety improvement.

“This vehicle will strengthen our ability to respond swiftly to emergencies and enforce road safety measures across the state,” Hamzat said, emphasizing that proper maintenance and optimal utilization are guaranteed.

The initiative highlights Lagos State’s proactive partnership with security agencies, reinforcing a broader vision of safer roads, faster emergency response, and improved protection for residents and road users alike.
