Encouraged by the success of its I tonne truck, Just Commercial Vehicles Limited (JCV Limited), Nigeria’s commercial Vehicles assembler and marketing company, has concluded plans to launch a special 1.5 tonne truck into the Nigerian market.
The company’s Director, Stanley Evans, who made the disclosure to Motoring World during a virtual interview, said in addition to the proposed launch, JCV Limited is set to kick-start local automobile assembly in a matter of months.
He explained: “while planning to assemble, we will be launching a special 1.5 tonne Chana truck and our 5-seater double cab range in four month.”
According to Evans, JCV Limited is not only coming out well on the other side of covid 19, its one-tonne trucks are doing well in the nation’s market.
He said: “Our one-tonne trucks enjoy huge patronage in Nigeria. Also our one-tone sealed panel vans are liked by users, who need to deliver chilled products. The truck called KY5 holds 30% more than other vehicles in its segment, as the rear load deck is larger. The reliability is loved in the market, as it is in the top three level of any product sold in Nigeria.”
Evans recon his company’s auto business has started experiencing growth.
“It appears the green shoots of growth are appearing,” he enthused, adding, “Though, we are still being affected by used vehicles imports, which distorts the market and causes pollution, which is ironic because we see Ethiopia opening a new electric vehicle factory, yet Nigeria still allows 100s and 1000s of Tokunbos and damaged vehicles.
“However, we are confident about the future in Nigeria and seeking to employ more staff.’’
Already, JCV has virtual presence on most online platforms.
“In addition to that,” he stressed, “our mobile workshop is unique, as our engineers travel directly to customers’ premises even at weekends, if necessary and it has assisted us sell our products. No other company can offer nationwide service at 22 sites as we can.
‘’ Lastly, our transparent policy of declaring our cost price to large corporate buyers if they wish, allows us to agree a trade margin, which ensures a fair agreement on price for both parties.’’
