Coronavirus Fallout: Beijing AMR Auto Maintenance & Repair Show postponed

Following the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, which the World Health Organisation (WHO) also listed as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC),  AMR Auto Maintenance & Repair Show slated to hold in Beijin from March 15th to 18th has been postponed.

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s contained in a statement released by President of Resident Automotive Components Dealers Association of Nigeria (RACDAN) on Thursday, the postponement became inevitable following the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality’s declaration of the highest level of public health emergency on 24 January 2020.

“The city,” it stated further, “started to carry out a series of disease prevention and control measures, and advised citizens to avoid going to crowded places or taking part in public activities.

“To support the government’s advice, Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo 2020 is deemed necessary to be postponed from 15 – 18 March 2020 to another dates.

“On 30 January 2020,” it recalled, “the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it had listed the recent Novel Coronavirus outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).

It assured that an updated show dates would be announced in the near future.
