Weststar Associates Limited, Nigeria’s Authorized General Distributor for Mercedes-Benz, has appointed Mrs Mary Aderinola Ojulari as its first-ever Deputy managing Director.
Until his appointment, Mrs. Ojulari had been the company’s Chief Financial Officer; a position she is to combine with her new responsibility of deputizing Mr. Mirko Plath, who has been the company’s managing Director for about 15 years.
Mrs Ojulari, who joined Weststar in 2017, holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the London South Bank University.
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Ojulari has for over 18 years worked in several senior management and director roles within the hospitality, media, services and automobile sectors.
Ojulari started her professional career with KPMG UK, moved to Whitbread PLC, the largest hospitality company in the UK, where she was part of the team that implemented change management and carried out the due diligence for the sale of 160 restaurants to a Venture Capitalist.
For 12 years, Ojulari also worked in leadership position at the BBC, CNBC Africa & Forbes, providing strategic direction and ensuring short to medium and long-term plans for the companies were viable and implemented.
As Weststar’s CFO and DMD, Mrs Ojulari now supports the Managing Director in implementing the strategy of the company’s board; ensuring efficiency targets are achieved and providing direction for the business.
Founded in 2007, Weststar Associates Limited coordinates the Sales, Dealer Support, Fleet Management Support, Aftersales Services, Warranties, Marketing, Public Affairs, and Trainings of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria.
