As Nigerians await what would become the nation’s first ever locally assembled and commercially available Electric vehicle (EV), talking about Hyundai Kona, Hyundai Motor Company on Wednesday shared a glimpse of its upcoming new KONA and KONA N Line, both Sport Utility Vehicles( SUVs), which, Motoring World learnt, are coming to express the automaker’s sensuous, Sportiness global design identity.
Though not much detail so far were released, from a brief statement on Hyundai’s website, it is obvious that the upcoming model is set to unleash to the auto world a stance and Sleeker identity.
Judging from the front view of the teaser photo released, the new KONA is coming with a wider stance and a shark-inspired nose that gives the model a sleeker look.
Also expected would be upgraded daytime running lamps (DRL) as well as Front skid plate and bumper, which give it a high-tech, sophisticated style and also add to its armored appearance respectively.
This time, Hyundai is rolling out the first KONA N Line model, which gets a more aerodynamic design with low-set air intake and more aggressive front bumper, complemented by corner fins and lean crease lines.
While auto lovers await what could become another EV bang and a complement to the popularity of the first Kona model, Hyundai has expressed an optimism that, in addition to an attractive entry point to the N Brand, the new N Line model should expand Kona’s appeal to a broader range of customers.
Meanwhile, according to Hyundai, more design details on the new Kona and Kona N Line will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Established in 1967, Hyundai Motor Company offers a range of world-class vehicles and mobility services in more than 200 countries. Hyundai Motor sold more than 4.4 million vehicles globally in 2019, and currently employs some 120,000 personnel worldwide. The company is enhancing its product lineup with vehicles designed to help usher in a more sustainable future, while offering innovative solutions to real-world mobility challenges.
Hyundai brand is exclusively assembled and marketed in Nigeria by Stallion Group. And, Motoring World reliably gathered that the company might launch the Kona into the Nigerian market before the end of September.
