MATILDA FRANCES
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s we review the just concluded year 2016, I remember one story in particular – the cloning of Range Rover Evoque by a Chinese auto company.
To be honest, we all know about Chinese goods – cheap, nasty and with a shelf life of two-day old doughnut.
If you are going to clone anything, at least try and clone with class. Yes, Landrover model has been cloned to Landwind. And the case is in Chinese court. It would be interesting to see how this pile of nuts and bolts fair in safety test.
When Chinese companies take other people’s ideas, it is never to better them (Nokia for instance), but only to produce rubbish that looks similar, shoddy finishing and performance, well , need I say more.
Could somebody please get hold of one of the tin cans, just so that the sensible public can see what it is they are avoiding. EURONCAP, over to you.
