2025 NAJA Awards Set to Light up Lagos as Auto Giants Storm Oriental Hotel

Nigeria’s automotive heavyweights are gearing up for a high-voltage showdown as the 2025 NAJA Awards hit the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, on Tuesday, December 16.

Dubbed the industry’s “Oscars,” the ceremony is expected to pull in the biggest names in motoring top brands, regulators, innovators, and mobility power players for a night that promises big wins, bold statements, and a clearer look at the future of Nigeria’s auto sector.

According to the event’s organising Committee Chairman, Frank Kintum, this year’s edition isn’t just another awards night, it’s a milestone.

“2025 is a defining year. The competition is the toughest we’ve seen, reflecting a sector undergoing real transformation – from electric mobility growth to aggressive model rollouts and stronger after-sales commitments,” he said.

Adding major weight to the evening, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed and NADDC DG Otunba Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin are among the top dignitaries expected. Their attendance signals how crucial the event has become to national safety, automotive policy, and Nigeria’s push for stronger local manufacturing.

“Having FRSC and NADDC at the table shows a united front for safer roads, better regulation, and a strengthened domestic auto industry,” Kintum noted.

Also confirmed are senior executives from the nation’s leading brands, including Toyota Nigeria, Coscharis Motors, Weststar Associates (Mercedes-Benz), Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Carloha, Briscoe Motors, Jet Systems, Saglev Electromobility Limited, Stallion Group, IPI, Dangote Sinotruk, Jetour Auto, GUO Motors, CEDRIC and JeGo Electric Mobility.

This year’s categories will spotlight the best in innovation, safety, sustainable mobility, commercial vehicle leadership, after-sales excellence and Nigeria’s growing local manufacturing capacity.

EV makers and mobility-tech startups, now some of the fastest-rising forces in the market, are expected to make a strong showing.

According to NAJA, the fierce competition reflects a marketplace being reshaped by new technologies, expanding local assembly, and rising customer expectations.

“The NAJA Awards are now the gold standard,” Kintum said. “They push brands to raise the bar on safety, service, technology, and customer satisfaction.”

As the industry converges at the Oriental Hotel, the 2025 NAJA Awards promise more than trophies. It is offering a power-packed platform for networking, policy dialogue, investment conversations, and alliances that could steer the next phase of Nigeria’s automotive evolution.

The guest list cuts across journalists, policymakers, OEM executives, distributors, and mobility entrepreneurs, cementing NAJA Award’s status as Nigeria’s most influential automotive event.
