Incredible Auto machines Head for New York Intl Motor Show

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he world’s automakers are polishing and buffing some incredible vehicles that will be shown at this year’s New York International Auto Show for the first time. 

The Show runs from April 14 – 23, 2017 and is preceded by two high energy press preview days, where journalists from every corner of the globe gather to film, photograph and report on the hottest new models.

As announced by the event’s organizers in a statement on Thursday, many of the vehicles are world debuts – vehicles that have never been seen before – while others are making their North America debut.

Exclusive vehicles ready for debuting at the event include:

Mercedes E-Class Convertible

Mercedes-AMG GT Concept.: The performance hybrid system in the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept combines a highly efficient V8 petrol engine with a powerful electric motor and a modular battery concept. The system offers a compelling electric range and can generate an output of up to 600 kW (816 hp). The GT Concept dispatches the sprint from 0-62 mph in less than
three seconds.

Mercedes E-Class Convertible:  In keeping with its sporty look, the new E-Class Convertible offers exceptional performance paired with outstanding comfort for four occupants. It comes with state-of-the-art assistance systems, powerful engines and a comfortable chassis to guarantee a luxuriously sporty driving experience.

Mercedes AMG Wagon: In the new wagon, versions of the E 63 4MATIC and the E 63 S 4MATIC superlative performance is supplied by the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with up to 612 hp and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The new Wagon’s 0-62 mph acceleration of 3.5 seconds.

Honda Civic R-Type:  With an MSRP in the mid-$30k range, this is the first ever Type R-badged Honda to be sold on American soil. The Type R will feature a high performance 2.0-liter turbocharged powertrain, substantially upgraded body and chassis, and other track-ready, Nürburgring-tuned and tested performance components.

Volvo XC60:  The new mid-sized XC60 SUV is one of the safest vehicles ever made and comes with a new safety system called Oncoming Lane Mitigation which uses steer assist to help mitigate head-on collisions. Pilot Assist, Volvo’s advanced semi-autonomous driver assistance system, which takes care of steering, acceleration and braking on well-marked roads up to 80 MPH, is available in the new XC60 as an option.

Subaru Crosstrek:  The Subaru Crosstrek is a crossover SUV which combines a compact body, SUV capability based on Subaru’s distinctive Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and rugged, sporty design, offering versatility in both outdoors and urban areas. The Crosstrek also offers world-class collision safety and hazard avoidance performance, as well as far more driver-responsive handling and ride comfort while enhancing the vehicle’s unique design and rough road capability.

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: Dodge’s new ultimate performance halo car — the all-new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon — will be unveiled during the New York International Auto Show’s press week.
