Help, My RAV4 Air-Conditioner is Not Blowing Cold

Dear Editor,

[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ctober last year, I bought a 2007 Toyota RAV 4. Its air-conditioner was not blowing cold, whenever I switched it on and was told its gas needed re-filling. I got the gas filled, and it started working normally, but for less than a year. Few days ago, I found out the A/C had stopped blowing cold again. Kindly advise me on what is wrong. Thanks

ANSWER

Dear Mr. Keita,

Thanks for your mail. From your explanation, I believe your system ran out of refrigerant so soon due to leakage somewhere.

Unless that leakage point is traced and fixed, even if you refill the gas again, the same problem will re-occur. So it’s advisable to fix the leak and then refill the gas.

Dear motorists, have you been experiencing an intractable problem with your automobile to which you desire an explanation or solution, mail it to us, explaining the problem as well as the brand, model and year of manufacture of the vehicle. Send your mail to editor@motoringworldng.com.

Until next week when we shall proffer a solution to another problem, please be careful out there.
