Turkey Earthquake: Toyota Deploys Response Team, Supports Victim with 1 Million Euro

Following devastating South-Eastern Turkey Earthquake, Toyota Motor Corporation  has deployed a disaster response team to conduct search and rescue operations for the victims. 

The company has also supporting the victims with immediate needs, including food, water, clothing and shelter through a total donation of EUR 1 million (of which Toyota Motor Corporation is contributing EUR 400,000).

Joining in mourning all of the lives lost, the Japanese automaker, in a statement, stated: “Our hearts go out to those who are facing difficulties and we hope for a quick and full recovery for those affected the region.

“We would like to express our deepest condolences to all those in the areas affected by the earthquake.”

Supporting Activities and immediate response by local Toyota affiliates and partners includes

  • Dispatching an earthquake rescue team (51 dispatched).
  • Providing supplies to disaster victims (hygiene materials, blankets and water)
  • Working closely with local NGOs (specializing in providing assistance in crisis situations.)

A central fund was established for Toyota Europe affiliates and partners to pool donations for local NGOs.
