Hyundai to Reveal all-new IONIQ 5 Details in Online Puzzle

Hyundai Motor is revealing new details of the all-new IONIQ 5, the first model in its new IONIQ line-up brand which is the opening of a new era of electric vehicles.

The all-new IONIQ 5 is a battery-electric mid-size CUV that will be launched in the first half of 2021.

By developing a high-tech electric vehicle, Hyundai is reaffirming its commitment to becoming a smart mobility solutions provider, as well as its dedication to eco-mobility.

The all-new IONIQ 5 is one of the first battery electric vehicles worldwide, and the first from a mainstream automotive brand, to be equipped with a high-power 800-volt on-board charger. It can support 11kWh for AC charging or up to 232kWh for DC ultra-fast charging. This also results in a consistently high performance, and weight and space optimization due to the 800-volt battery system.

The bold and progressive EV specific design language of the all-new IONIQ 5 takes both philosophical and visual inspiration from Hyundai’s design legacy.

The all-new IONIQ 5 is the first Hyundai model based on the company’s EV-dedicated Electric Global Modular Platform, known as E-GMP. This offers enhanced efficiency by allowing for faster charging capabilities and increased driving range. In addition, it allows Hyundai to reimagine the vehicle interior as a Smart Living Space, while enhancing drivers’ handling and stability.

Hyundai will reveal new details about the all-new IONIQ 5 over the coming weeks in the form of a social media puzzle. This will include more information about its interior concept, safety and connectivity features, in addition to its charging capabilities and design. The puzzle teasers will provide a glimpse into the model’s main features ahead of its official unveiling.
