It was a turbocharged excitement for guests, participants, news hunters and government officials, as they toured the showcases of locally manufactured/assembled vehicles, which made history, being the first vehicles to be exhibited at the Nigeria Auto Industry Summit, maiden of which held in Lagos last Thursday.
Organized by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association in collaboration with the national Automotive Design and development Council (NADDC), the event, which held at Radisson Lagos, had as a side attraction, exhibition of locally made vehicles, a segment aimed at encouraging Nigerians and government officials to buy and ride in made in Nigeria automobiles.
The automotive pacemakers include Maxus Pick-up truck showcased by Mikano Motors. Arrived from  Nnewi , Eastern Nigeria a day before the event, Innoson’s Gas-powered pick-up van made it to the event.
Also on display were Mikano Motors’ CNG-powered MAXUS pick up truck,  Globe Motors’ CNG-powered Mobile cooling van, CNG-powered Kia Rio and CNG-Powered JET Mover bus, courtesy of Jet Motor Company.
