Stallion Re-opens Car Showrooms, Service Centres under Strict Safety Protocol

Stallion Group, Nigeria’s leading vehicle assembler and exclusive representative of an array of globally renowned automobile brands, has reopened its car showrooms and service centres across the country, under a strict safety protocol, aimed at protecting its workforce, dealers and customers against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

In compliance with Nigerian government regulations to restrict the spread of COVID-19, the organization has embarked on routine fumigation of its VON assembly plant as well as all its showrooms and service centers in 28 locations across Nigeria.

In a video message released recently, therefore, the company solicited for the cooperation of its customers and visitors alike towards adhering to safety set of rules now in place in all its work premises.

As such, all employees, visitors and customers at its showrooms, workshops or offices are required to wear face masks as well as go through temperature checks and Sanitization of hands and shoes.

Meanwhile, to limit overcrowding at the company’s automobile service bay and showrooms, customers are required to make pre-booking appointment for vehicle servicing.

Throughout the handling of customers ‘cars, technicians at Stallion’s service centers are mandated to wear CDC (Centre for Decease Control) approved PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

And before handing back to their customers/owners, exterior and interior of the cars are not only sprayed with car friendly disinfectant, elaborate check/sanitization of the car, including key interior touch point areas are conducted by the company’s after-sales team.

And, as revealed by GM – Marketing, Stallion Group, Arpita Roy Luthra, along with the regular pesticide treatments for rodents, the company is doing a special anti-virus treatment of the entire establishment, including daily cleaning of floors, table tops, workshop areas and parking bay surfaces with anti-viral Clorox.

“Knowing that the complete antivirus treatment is very effective against all kinds of flu virus,” explained Luthra, “the overall fumigation is done once in three months, because, in Stallion, the safety of our customers and employees are paramount. We want to keep them safe from the pandemic while business continues.

“Moreover, our employees are our responsibility and we do not compromise on keeping them safe, which is why our staff buses are picking up employees from home to office and back to ensure minimal contacts during this pandemic.

“The buses are operating on low capacity but with high cost. Each employee is given masks and sanitizer and the service team is given full PPE gear while handling cars.”

Commenting on the reopening safety procedures put in place, the company’s CEO Anant Badjatya said: “We do not know if ever times for business were direr and more precarious than what we as a society face today. There is no precedent to what we are dealing with and situation is changing by the day.

“As the nation and the world grapples with the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, safety and wellbeing of our customers and employees has been and will always be our top priority. That is why we are taking every care to ensure that our offices, facilities, workshops are sanitized and our staff is well trained to follow hygiene practices that are sacrosanct.”
