Mothers Day: Ladder is Needed to Board this Monster, Mums Set to Have a go

More-and-more adventurous Brits are driving monster trucks so big that the only way to get into the cab is by climbing up a ladder.

According to www.trackdays.co.uk it saw a huge 50 per cent increase in bookings in 2019 compared to the previous year, making it one of the fastest growing driving experiences.

However, such is the size of these outrageous vehicles that their tyres are almost 6ft high!

Dan Jones, operations manager at TrackDays.co.uk, said: “An increasing number of adrenalin seeking Brits are pushing their driving skills to the limit in some of the most outlandish vehicles on the planet.

“In fact, bookings for monster truck experiences, which would make a great Mother’s Day gift, surged in 2019 compared to the previous 12 months.

“It would most definitely be different to giving your mum a traditional bouquet of flowers or box of chocolates.”

Mother’s Day monster truck mayhem boost

Among the monster trucks available for mums to drive is the legendary ‘Grizzly’, weighing in at 8-tonnes and with 5ft 5” high tyres.

The experience itself includes tackling a specially designed course, and on some experiences there’s even the chance to drive over, and crush, two saloon cars.

Meanwhile, there’s also the option to get behind-the-wheel of a Euro spec monster truck, driving through water splashes and over mounds, once again pushing the driver to the maximum of their abilities while still having fun.

Dan added: “The popularity of our unique driving experiences, such as in a monster truck is growing, indicating that Brits are becoming more adventurous with their gifts or as a treat for themselves.”
