JAC Algeria Light-duty Truck KD Plant Signs Formal Contract

…Warms up to Open Auto Assembly Plant in Nigeria

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]arly this month(January 2016), JAC Algeria light-duty truck KD plant signed a formal agreement. The signing ceremony, which held in Algiers, the capital of Algeria, was attended by JAC General Manager, Mr Xiang Xinchu and the ambassador of China in Algeria, Mr. Yang Guangyu and witnessed by over 30 mainstream media.

JAC overseas recently established 19 KD plants covering Middle East, Southeast Asia, central Asia, and South America. The completion of Algeria light-duty KD plant increased the number of JAC overseas plants to 20 units. Meanwhile, it is the first light-duty truck KD plant of JAC in African continent, which will give help to Algeria auto industry development.

The total investment of JAC KD plant whole project is 128 million US dollars and the first period production capacity is expected to reach 10000 units per year, and the newest JAC light-duty truck and mini truck which can satisfy the new regulations of Algeria.

Commenting on the development, Algeria Industrial and Mining Ministry Investment Division Director Mr. AMAR AGADIR said: “the new auto market bill encourages auto manufacturers to cooperate with local dealers to build plants. And the Industrial and Mining Ministry will join with AIN TEMOUCHENG relative departments to give preferential policies and supports for JAC KD plant project. And the ambassador of China in Algeria Mr. Yang Guangyu affirmed the accomplishment of JAC in Algeria and will give more supports to JAC for both countries’ economy development.

On behalf of JAC, the General Manager of JAC, Mr. Xiang Xingchu expressed gratitude for relevant government departments, media and distributor representatives. He said:’JAC has always adhered to the customer-oriented concept and respect and support the new regulations of Algeria government and deepen the cooperation with EMIN AUTO, make all strength to promote Algeria KD plant project, provide more products for local customers, and better services. ’

20160112163023651Mr. Xiang Xingchu and Algeria distributor representatives signed a joint statement on the issue. After the signing ceremony, the Deputy General Manager of JAC International, Mr. Zhang Peng and Investment Department Director, Mr. AMAR AGADIR jointly answered journalists’ questions.

It would be recalled that in year 2000, JAC started business in Algeria. Now the Chinese auto maker has opened many JAC 4S shops and more than 40 service networks, as well as about 35,000 light-duty trucks in the market. JAC has always adhered the concept of customer- oriented and carried out the service month activity around Algeria.

Constantly upgrading the products quality, JAC has become the top light-duty truck brand in Algeria.

Meanwhile, late last year, JAC opened its first ever Nigerian 3S showroom in Lagos Nigeria and at that occasion, which was attended by motoring press, revealed plans to, early this year, commence assembly of JAC vehicles from Lagos-based plant, which was said to near completion.

When this happens, that would become second JAC plant in Africa.
