Geely Nigeria Set to Launch New “Game-changer” Luxury SUV

Following the outstanding success of its award-winning CoolRay SUV, Geely Nigeria, the exclusive Partnership between Mikano International and Geely Autos, is set to launch a brand new luxury SUV.

Since establishing an operation in Nigeria, the global auto giant has had an exemplary run towards establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing auto brands in the country.

In February 2022, Geely Global reported an impressive 78,478 sales volume worldwide, which, according to Geely Nigeria, is a clear indication for the brand in the country.

Shortly before this, in 2021, it was announced that Geely was the only Asian automaker to join the International Automobile Task Force (IATF), joining other members such as BMW Group, Volkswagen AG and Jaguar Land Rover(JLR) Limited to name a few.

Leveraging on Mikano International’s formidable legacy, Mikano Motors launched Geely Nigeria with the introduction of the X7 Sport and Emigrants 7 models with laudable success.

This was quickly followed by the launch of the CoolRay, which won the award for the “Best Compact SUV- Design and Technology 2021”, by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA).

From all indications, Mikano Motors- Geely Nigeria is aiming at stirring up the Nigerian auto industry once again with what is believed to be an innovative game-changing addition.

Although there has been no information about what surprises this new SUV will come equipped with, what we do know so far is that the new entrant is a C- Segment hybrid SUV, with no limit to the luxury, technology and safety that Geely is renowned for.

This SUV, like the CoolRay before it, was re-developed with Volvo Autos, which Geely took ownership of in 2010.
