Dauda Biu Takes over FRSC, as Corps Marshal Oyeyemi Bows out

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mr Dauda Biu as an Acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The erstwhile Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, who retired from the service on Sunday, 24th July 2022, handed over officially to Biu at the occasion of his passing out ceremony held on Monday at the Corps headquarter, Abuja.

In a statement released by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Bisi Kazeem, the Board Chairman of the FRSC, Malam Bukhari Bello, in his address at the occasion, was quoted to have congratulated Biu on his appointment, urging him to justify his appointment by sustaining the developmental tempo kick-started by Oyeyemi as well as continue, where the former Corps Marshal stopped.

Bello, who lauded Oyeyemi for laying a good foundation for the corps, urged Biu to continue where the former Corps Marshal stopped.

Responding after the handing over, Biu, who pledged to justify the appointment, thanked President Buhari for his appointment and also expressed appreciation to the management of the FRSC.

Before his appointment, Biu was the Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM), Finance and Accounts, at the FRSC headquarters.

He joined the FRSC in 1988 and has had a fruitful career working across several formations.

Biu holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University and was the Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Finance and Accounts in 2014 before becoming the DCM in 2016.

The former Corps Marshal, FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi retired from service on Sunday, July 24, and was pulled out today at Old Parade ground, Abuja.
