Coscharis Launches 7th Generation BMW 3 Series in Nigeria

ROTIMI ASHER

A model regarded as the start of a new chapter in the BMW design language, the 7th generation BMW 3-Series, has arrived in Nigerian showrooms, courtesy of Coscharis Motors, the nation’s exclusive representative of the brand.

Unveiled on Thursday at the company’s Victoria Island, Lagos showroom before the motoring press, the latest model comes with an upgraded styling, which marks the start of a new chapter in the BMW design language.

Parading clear shapes and poetic surfaces, the new 3-Series’ appearance, no doubt, meets the wish for sheer driving pleasure with every detail.

Addressing motoring newsmen before the unveiling, the company’s General Manager, Corporate and Marketing Communications, Mr. Abiona Babarinde described the new BMW 3 series as a market leader in its segment, especially given the new configurations and updates included in the current model.

In Babarinde’s words, “the all-new BMW 3 Series Sedan boldly rethinks familiar design topics. Through the new design language, the sports saloon is connecting the successful history with the future.

According to him, Coscharis Motors is positioning the new BMW for corporate and retail sales, targeted at young hard-working executives in their late 20s and mid-40s.

“Barely on the road,” he pointed out, “the BMW 3 Series Sedan, is already leaving everything behind it, including conventions and expectations. As an ultimate sports sedan, its pioneering design language stands for the dawning of a new era in its segments. With a simple ‘Hey BMW’ the all-new BMW 3 Series recognizes your voice and heeds your every word.”

Equipment

The new 3-Series comes equipped with new connectivity technologies, which facilitate easy communication between the car and its owner or driver.

“Together with the technology package BMW ConnectedDrive, services such as Connected Music or Remote Software Upgrade, you always remain linked with your BMW and the world,” Babarinde stressed.

Comfort and Space

Complementing the new BMW 3 Series’ styling language is an upgraded interior, which appears even more generously proportioned and practical. Be it access to the vehicle via smartphone, acoustic glazing or the intelligent through-loading system – every detail makes life easier and offers a high level of ride comfort.

Power, Safety and Security

Powered by 2.0L I-4 Engine with a pulling power of 255 horses (255hp) at 5,000 rpm (revolution per minute), the new 3 Series rolled out with the traditional BMW safety DNA running through its engineering seam.

Aside from Anti-lock brakes, the car is equipped with stability control, Front-impact airbags, Side-impact airbags, Overhead airbags, Knee airbags and Seatbelt pretensioners, which automatically tighten seatbelts to place the occupant in the optimal seating position during a collision.

What’s more, the vehicle is equipped with a means of anticipating and/or detecting unwanted vehicle intrusion as well as an ignition disable device that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturer key is not used.

At the core of the new BMW 3 Series is the availability of 4 years /200,000 km Repair Inclusive and 3 Years / 40,000km Service inclusive packages, whichever comes first.

“This means that our customers can relax with the knowledge that all agreed service/repair work and the required original BMW parts are already covered by the selected package,” Babarinde added.
